Member (voting):  An individual practicing or teaching the profession of surveying, geodesy, geospatial information / technology, photogrammetry, remote sensing, cartography, or a related field, who has attained a minimum of eight years in responsible charge of these activities, or a combination of four years of college level education and at least four years’ experience in responsible charge is eligible to become a Member. A Member shall be entitled to all rights and privileges, including the right to vote and to hold office. $225.00 plus a one-time $15.00 processing fee.   

Associate Member (non-voting): An individual that is employed in surveying, geodesy, geospatial information/technology, photogrammetry, remote sensing, cartography, or a related field and does not meet the qualifications for inclusion in the Member classification is eligible to become an Associate Member. An Associate Member shall not be eligible to vote or hold office but shall be entitled to all other rights and privileges of NSPS membership.  $140.00 plus a one-time $15.00 processing fee.

Active Military Member (non-voting):  Any Active-Duty Military, Reserve or Nation Guard working in a related field of Surveying not eligible for regular membership (see below). Military Members shall not be eligible to vote or hold office but shall be entitled to all other rights and privileges of NSPS membership. $0

Student Member (non-voting): An individual is eligible for Student Membership if the individual is pursuing a course of study as a graduate or undergraduate student on a full or part-time basis in a degree program leading to a career in surveying, geodesy, geospatial cartography, or a related field. Student Members shall not be eligible to vote or hold office but shall be entitled to all other rights and privileges of NSPS Membership.  $10.00
